blood vials
Anglo-American scientists have been given permission from the US Food and Drug Administration to collect blood from healthy individuals.

It can be used to grow a whole new army of the disease-fighting white blood cells that can be reinfused back into the patient if required such as if they fall victim to cancer or suffer an auto-immune disease like AIDS.

The price? A mere $800 for the initial draw, and $25 a month to maintain it at -196°.

PDT
Phytodynamic therapy is a process of drug activation using light, which localizes the effect of the drug to the injection site at a tumour.

Researchers have now found that PDT stimulates the body’s immune system to fight cancer cells elsewhere, too.

This research offers the possibility that PDT could be used to treat cancer that has already spread.

Are cellular phones and Wifi really harming your health? Or is it all just hooey?

cellular cartoon
I came across a blog today suggesting a relationship between cellular phones, Wifi, and deleterious health effects such as weakened immune systems and cancer.

However, when I tried to find more information on the subject, I found a complete dearth of credible sources supporting this notion. There are thousands of blogs and websites saying that the phones and towers are harmful, but they tend to be rants or suppositions — without citations or research. Is this just the paranoia of our modern age? Are these fears the same as our parents had about microwave ovens a generation ago? Or is there cause for alarm?

The most informative site I’ve found so far is at ehso.com.

But I’d really like to know if there is hard science supporting these concerns, and where to read it.
